Dr.Subhash Chandran Associate Professor in English Senior academic in English Language and Literature with more than 30 years of teaching at the UG and PG levels in India and two Libyan Universities. Retired from the PG and Research department of English, S.N. College, Kollam. Was an approved Research Guide under the Kerala University and has successfully guided 5 scholars to Ph.D on topics like Modern American fiction, African Drama, Diaspora Literature, Indian Theater etc. His own Ph.D was awarded for the thesis “Hate- Love: The Leitmotif in the plays of Eugene O’Neill”. Published 8 articles in National/ International/ Refereed journals and presented 14 papers in National/ International seminars/ workshops. Joined Dr. Palpu College in Feb 2018 as senior faculty. Included in the panel of adjudicators for Ph.D Dissertation( Madras university , Bharathiyar University ) Delivers special lectures on world drama. Winner of the Kerala University Union Gold Medal. Post-graduated in Applied Geology from the Department of Applied Geology and Exploration Geophysics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur with first class first division. Specialized in advanced research in Economic geology, Structural geology, Geochemistry and Geomorphology. Taught Geology in the Postgraduate Department of Geology, Sree Narayana College, Varkala Thiruvananthapuram District, India. Did doctoral research on the Metallogeny of the primary gold deposits of Nilambur, North Kerala, and was awarded Ph.D from the Kerala University. Has several research papers published in national and international journals and has traveled extensively and visited places of geological importance.
